3rd appeal over ODJFS glitch not giving me credit for completing Credit Profile

Fact #1:
I completed my Career Profile far in advance of the deadline. See screenshot that shows the completion status of this activity at OhioMeansJobs.com as of 2016 -- far before the Unemployment Insurance deadline for this re-employment activity.

Fact #2:
Your system has trouble recognizing completed Career Profiles in some cases. It requires talking to two help desks and clicking Edit and Save in already completed profile to have status exported to your website.

Fact #3:
You keep concluding I presented no good reason for failing to complete the Career Profile by deadline. See Fact #1 please.

Fact #4:
You keep ignoring or not reading the facts I present.
So I am directing a copy of this to your Director, Director of OhioMeansJobs, the Attorney General and the Governor. I’ll also create a blog about this. As a former newspaper reporter, I am appalled at your incompetence and the problems with your systems.

I ask you review what I have submitted previously.
In response to your latest reply:

Once again, you have falsely accused me of failing to complete my Career Profile  by the deadline.

As I have explained in every reply and appeal, I completed the profile long before the deadline. You can see the original completion date (2016) in the screenshot I faxed to you. I was unable to upload it because your Unemployment website has a flaw.

Another flaw it has is that, unbeknownst to your Help Desk people, and not documented anywhere on your website or in any of your instructions: If you have completed the Career Profile at OhioMeansJobs.com, it will not tell the Unemployment website this until after you go revisit the website and do three things:

1. Find the pie chart results beside completed Career Profile.
2. Click Edit/View Results button.
3. Click Save (maybe several times)

The only way to learn this is get lucky enough to find the right OMJ help desk person who knows the glitch and work-around that is some secret from most at ODJFS apparently.

So, please, don’t tell me a third time that I failed to give you evidence for a good reason to NOT complete my profile on time. I completed it early. Way early. And the instructions on OhioMeansJobs.com says it’s fine to finish early. It needs to add information and warnings about subsequent years/claims after you’ve already completed both requirements.

If this doesn’t make sense or you want me to clarify something, please give me a call at 614-599-4866. You likely are causing disruptions for thousands of people in a similar situation who gave up rather than try to fax you screenshots and keep appealing.

I am only persevering because I know I am right and that the people who made the first two determinations were wrong ... or at least misinformed, confused and perhaps lazy.

Please ... check with the techs at OhioMeansJobs to find out the original date(s) that I completed my Career Profile. This thing’s results don’t change annually like a Resume that might get posted to Monster.com. It assesses you for things you like and looks for good fits in careers and preferred styles for working and learning.

I hope you will show three appeals is all it takes to clear up your obvious mistakes and system failures. In terms of serving the people of Ohio, you have this far proven to be a disappointing failure. As someone whose last job was in customer service for the state, that makes me quite sad.

Best,
Tom,

Worst website inbox anywhere

They need to hire someone who can fix this mess.

Inbox for people who have filed for Unemployment in Ohio.

ODJFS appeals: Do they even read?

Anybody else have trouble getting the Ohio Unemployment Insurance people to give you credit for completing the required Career Profile (at OhioMeansJobs.com)? And then try to answer their determination but have it rejected; and, then appeal it but again have their original decision affirmed?

ARgh!

I did complete it -- long before the deadline. I keep telling them that. They don't believe me.

They just keep saying I didn't complete it by the deadline and didn't provide a reason for not doing so. I am beginning to think they have some idiot who can't read (or won't be bothered to try). Just clicks the default button of REJECT. Maybe selects all 100 or 1,000 in the inbox and does a mass rejection.

Ugh. Incompetence. That person should lose their job and let some of us have her/his job ... and health insurance ... and other benefits. Unless they are a temporary. I worked as a temp for Ohio.gov and they don't get benefits.

Anyhow ...

I'm about to write a letter to the Ohio Governor and Attorney General and the director of ODJFS, OhioMeansJobs.com & the Unemployment Insurance group within ODJFS.

I'm going to share my evidence/exhibits here online so they can more easily find them. Besides that, the Appeal website isn't letting me upload my screenshots that show I finished the Career Profile long before it was due. I had to fax it to them (wasting money at Kinko's). Sigh.

Eventually, I will give you tips on how to avoid this problem that has you lose at least a week's worth of money forever.
